IPS/ASP 2016 will be held at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The meeting will occupy the eastern most end of Navy Pier, from Exhibition Hall B onwards. For your convenience, within the rooms of conference, there will be Wi-Fi available at all times. Click here to download full map
Exhibition Hall: The hub of the meeting will be Exhibition Hall B, which will house the artists’ exhibits, the poster sessions, the silent auction, exhibitors’ stalls, a soft play area for children, and a concession stall, where you can buy light refreshments.
Registration Desk: The Registration and Help Desk will be located directly outside the entrance of Exhibition Hall B, on the south side of Navy Pier.
Break out rooms: Talks will be held in rooms 201-203, 205, 206-207, 324, 325-326, 327 and the Aon Grand Ballroom. Room 328 will not have A/V equipment, but can be used for meetings, workshops and roundtables. The talk prep and set-up room is 329. Society meetings held on Sunday August 21st and Saturday August 27th will be held in the 200-level and 300-level meeting rooms.
Lakeview Terrace: This light and airy space connects the 200-level meeting rooms with the Aon Grand Ballroom and provides an alternative space to the Exhibition Hall B to meet friends, do some work, or recharge.
Aon Grand Ballroom: Plenary and keynote addresses will be held in the Aon Grand Ballroom, which is located at the eastern most end of Navy Pier. This space will also act as one of the rooms for sessions throughout the day. On the evening of Monday August 22nd, the 25 Most Endangered Primates presentation will be held in the Aon Grand Ballroom, as will the closing banquet on the evening of Friday August 26th.
Lactation room: Room 323 will be set up as a breastfeeding and pumping room. It will provide small private spaces and mini fridge.
DIRECTIONS TO CONFERENCE SPACE WITHIN NAVY PIER
If walking (outside): Walk outside along the south promenade of Navy Pier heading east. Follow signs for Exhibition Hall B and The Richard H. Driehaus Gallery of Stained Glass. Enter Navy Pier via the Festival Hall B entrance. (If you reach the Navy Pier Beer Garden, you have gone too far.) Take either esculators or the stairs up to the upper level where the Registration and Help Desk is located.
If walking (inside): If you prefer to walk inside Navy Pier, enter at the front entrance and follow signs for Exhibition Hall B and The Richard H. Driehaus Gallery of Stained Glass. Taking this path, you will continue along the hallway passing under the Crystal Gardens, through the food court, past the Amazing Chicago’s Funhouse Maze until you reach The Richard H. Driehaus Gallery of Stained Glass. Take either esculators or the stairs up to the upper level where Registration and Help Desk is located.
If using rideshare services, taxis or the Navy Pier Trolley Service: Both Lyft and Uber have dropoff and pick up points at Entrance 2 on the north side of Navy Pier (this is the ‘East’ location). If taking a taxi or the Navy Pier Trolley, also go to Entrance 2 on the north side of Navy Pier. Once you arrive at Entrance 2, enter Navy Pier through the glass doors marked Festival Hall A&B Entrance 2 Lobby. Walk past the lockers towards The Richard H. Driehaus Gallery of Stained Glass. Take either esculators or the stairs up to the upper level where the Registration and Help Desk is located.
